January 2022
2022 started off with a bang and it’s certainly how I mean to go on!
It’s important to me that I continually learn and improve upon my skills in permanent makeup (PMU). I like to do my research and ensure that I train with the most esteemed professionals from all around the world.
So in early January I attended a two-day brow masterclass with Monica Ivani. Monica flew over from Dublin to teach this class and it was hosted by the PMU Collective in Southend-on-Sea. I’ve been using Monica’s signature line of pigments for quite some time, alongside my trusted K.B Pro Pigments, of course, and I was super excited to meet her and learn her style of working.
I’ve never been to Essex before, and I have to say Southend-on-Sea was beautiful. I drove up and down the seafront a few times taking in the views. I’d like to go back when the weather is warmer and it’s not blowing a gale!
Even though I am a trainer myself, I never get complacent. There is always something new to learn and practice from my peers and colleagues – I even learn from new technicians who are just starting out in the industry.
We all have our own special way of working; our own styles and techniques that work for us and make us the individual technicians that we are. We each use different products and tools to carry out our treatments and it’s important to me to be able to offer my clients a five-star service with the best tools and products I can find.
Not only did I learn Monica’s own way of carrying out permanent makeup, but I also got to meet 12 other like-minded ladies who share the same passion for learning and I picked up some great tips!
