Lip Blush – Permanent Makeup
You may have heard the terms Lip Blush, Semi or Permanent Makeup, or even Lip Tattoo! Basically, they all mean the same thing. A professional permanent makeup procedure, implanting pigment into the lips.
It’s suitable for most men and women and varies in styles; from bold bright colours, with a lipstick effect to soft pixelated blushes which look hyper-natural. We can even cover over scar tissue to blend back in with the natural lip colour. Sometimes, where suitable, minor tweaks can be made to change the shape of the lips.
As we age, we lose the natural lip line and colour around our lips. Which in turn gives the effect of smaller, flatter lips. A permanent lip blush procedure can help to redefine the lip line, whilst creating the illusion of thicker, plumper lips. Some clients claim that it brings back a more youthful appearance, something we’d all like to achieve!
If you want to, and you feel like a change of colour, lipstick can still be applied over the top of the lip tattoo, so you can vamp it up for a night out. Or you can simply add a splash of clear gloss or lip balm to enhance the lip tattoo.
A few of the many benefits of lip tattooing are, it certainly won’t smudge on a hot day, won’t come off on your glass or cup and will be there when you wake up on a morning. It can restore a more youthful appearance, make the lips look fuller, saves precious time applying lip liner and lipstick and it’s also great if you struggle with application of makeup or have poor eyesight.
The procedure is usually spread over two appointments, which take about an hour and a half each. The second treatment is between four to six weeks later. A colour boost appointment can be anywhere from 18 to 24 months dependent of the style and colour chosen. Numbing cream can be applied to the area to minimise discomfort if required.
Any tattoo on your face should be given great consideration. Ensure you have a thorough consultation to get all the information you need, enabling you to make an informed decision about whether it is the right treatment for you.
